TreVeyon Henderson Fantasy Outlook 2026: Three Ceiling Weeks and a Backfield Split

The rookie baseline was three weeks and fourteen of split work

TreVeyon Henderson finished his first season as the 21st running back with 206.2 fantasy points, posting 911 rushing yards, 10 total touchdowns, and 35 receptions across all 17 games. Sportsbooks had projected him for 700.5 rushing yards and 4.5 rushing touchdowns. He cleared both by 210 yards and 4.5 scores.

Three games delivered 32.3, 24.1, and 19.3 PPR points, accounting for 75.7 of his 206.2 season total. The other 14 games averaged 8.3 fantasy points, with eight finishing under 10. This is what happens when a back with 5.1 yards per carry gets just 36% of his team's rushing attempts while Rhamondre Stevenson handles the other 64%.

What the year-two market is paying for

Our board ranks him 72 overall with 171.0 implied PPR points. ESPN has him at 60 and ADP sits at 115.6. The 2026 projection is 700 rushing yards, 6.5 rushing touchdowns, and 35 receptions — the same rushing yardage the market posted for him as a rookie, with the touchdown line moved up by two scores.

This is not a projection that assumes he becomes the lead back. It assumes the split stays roughly where it was and the efficiency stays at 5.1 yards per carry. If you are drafting him at 115.6, you are paying for the same role to produce the same RB21 finish with massive weekly variance.

Why sophomore leaps fail in timeshares

The failure mode is the backfield staying split for a second year while you spend a fifth-round pick on a back who gives you eight games under 10 points and three ceiling weeks you cannot predict. New England has not signaled that Stevenson is losing work, and the coaching staff used both backs all season.
