Saquon Barkley entered 2025 ranked fifth overall on our board and fourth on ESPN's after a 2024 season that produced 2005 rushing yards, 13 total touchdowns, and an RB1 finish in his first year in Philadelphia. He finished 2025 as RB14 with 232.3 PPR points across 16 games, posting 1140 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.

The efficiency loss was catastrophic. He went from 5.8 yards per carry in 2024 to 4.2 in 2025, a decline of 1.6 yards per touch that cost him 865 rushing yards despite carrying the ball at nearly the same rate. The standard deviation of 7.0 points per game confirms what those numbers suggest: he was unreliable week to week, not just disappointing in aggregate. Owning him cost you both the draft capital and the weekly certainty that makes a first-round running back worth the positional scarcity premium.
