Our board has Kenneth Walker 32 overall and RB14 at running back with 216.0 implied PPR points. ESPN ranks him 21 and the draft room takes him at 22.8. That seven-spot difference is not subtle — it is the gap between a mid-third-round pick and an early-third-round pick, and it exists because the market is pricing a role he has never produced in.

Walker joins Kansas City after finishing RB22 last season with 191.9 fantasy points across 17 games in Seattle. He has been a full-time NFL back for three seasons and has never finished better than RB19. The projection for 2026 is 950 rushing yards, 7.5 rushing touchdowns, 272 receiving yards, and 37 receptions, which would produce roughly 216.0 points. That would be his best season, and it still would not justify 22.8.

The bullish case is that Andy Reid's offense creates more touchdown opportunities than Seattle's did, and that Walker steps into feature-back work in a top-tier scoring environment. The skeptical case is that he has never been a top-15 back in per-game scoring, Reid has not fed a single running back 250 touches in years, and the projection already assumes improvement over what he just delivered.

He has never finished better than RB19 in three seasons as a starter, and the market is pricing a role he has never produced in.

Sportsbooks posted Walker at 875.5 rushing yards and 6.5 rushing touchdowns going into 2025. He ran for 1,027 yards and scored five touchdowns, which means he beat the yardage line by 151 yards but came up short on the most valuable scoring category by 1.5 touchdowns. They had him at 40 receptions and 335.5 receiving yards; he caught 31 for 282 yards.
