Javonte Williams Fantasy Outlook 2026: The Market Still Thinks He's The Denver Version

The disagreement is about which version you're buying

Our board ranks Javonte Williams 27 overall with 220.0 implied PPR points. ESPN has him 31. The draft room waits until 33.7 to take him, which is 7 picks later than our projection and puts him in the early fourth round.

That gap exists because the market is still pricing him as the Denver version who finished outside the top 25 running backs three straight years. It has not yet adjusted to the Dallas version who carried 252 times, scored 11 touchdowns, and finished RB12 in his first season with a functional offensive line.

The sportsbooks posted him at 513 rushing yards and 0.5 rushing touchdowns before last season. He ran for 1,201 yards and 11 scores. That is not a marginal miss where variance explains it — that is the market fundamentally mispricing what happens when you give a back volume in an offense that scores.

The goal-line work is structural, not fluky

Eleven rushing touchdowns would be a regression candidate if they came on six carries inside the five. Williams had 16 carries inside the five, which ranked fifth among all running backs. That is not touchdown efficiency outrunning usage — that is Dallas handing him the ball when they get close and him converting at a normal rate.

The projection for 2026 is 950 rushing yards and 9.5 rushing touchdowns, which reflects some regression from the 11 he just posted but still assumes Dallas continues to use him as the primary goal-line option. If that usage holds, he hits the projection. If Dallas splits those carries or pivots to someone else, the touchdown total drops and he falls short.
