Trey McBride Fantasy Outlook 2026: TE1 Without A Close Second

Why the consensus is the narrowest it has been in years

Our sportsbook-derived board ranks Trey McBride 21 overall with 232.0 implied PPR points. ESPN has him 17 and the draft room takes him at 20.2. That agreement exists because the gap between him and the next tight end is the widest positional gap on the board.

He finished TE1 last season with 126 receptions, 1,239 receiving yards, and eleven touchdowns across all seventeen games, posting 315.9 PPR points and 18.6 per game. The second tight end finished with 252.9 points. He cleared second place by 63 points, which is more separation than exists between the RB1 and RB8.

The volume is historically rare for the position

McBride commanded 27% of Arizona's targets last season, and over the past two years he has accumulated 317 targets and 252 receptions. Only Ja'Marr Chase has more in either category across that span. Among tight ends, no one else is close.

He led all tight ends in end-zone targets with seventeen, and posted fifteen weekly finishes inside the top twelve at his position. That is six more top-twelve weeks than any other tight end managed. Seven of his seventeen games cleared 20 PPR points and only two came in under 10.

The projection for 2026 is 97.5 receptions, 1,000 receiving yards, and 6.5 touchdowns, which would produce roughly 232.0 PPR points. That is a step back from what he just delivered, and it reflects a market that has learned to price his floor but still does not believe the eleven touchdowns will repeat.
