D'Andre Swift Fantasy Outlook 2026: The Draft Room Overpenalizes the Timeshare

The room overpenalizes the timeshare

Our board ranks D'Andre Swift 44 overall with 191.0 implied PPR points. ESPN ranks him 46. The draft room waits until 55.9 to take him.

That is a gap of 12 picks between our projection and where you can actually get him, with our value model putting his fair pick near 51. The market is charging him for a 44% rush-attempt share, which is a real limitation but one that did not stop him from clearing 1,300 scrimmage yards or finishing as RB15 last season.

A 44% rush-attempt share caps his ceiling, but the market is pricing it as if it eliminates his value entirely rather than just reducing it.

What he actually did in a split backfield

Swift posted 1,087 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns across 16 games, adding 34 receptions for 299 yards. That was 228.6 PPR points at 14.3 per game, good for RB15.

Sportsbooks posted him at 800.5 rushing yards and 5.5 rushing touchdowns. He beat the yardage line by 286 yards and the touchdown line by 3.5. He did it on 4.9 yards per carry, his highest efficiency mark in four years, while handling 44% of his team's rush attempts.

Why the room discounts him this far

Kyle Monangai took 34% of Chicago's carries last season and looked efficient enough that the timeshare is not going away. Swift is also 27 and on an expiring contract, which means the team could shift usage at any point.

Both concerns are legitimate. A back who handles 44% of carries has a lower ceiling than one commanding 60%, and that shows up in his weekly volatility—only five games cleared 20 PPR points while five came in under 10. But the market is pricing those concerns as if they eliminate his value entirely rather than just reducing it.
