The receiving work disappeared and has not come back
In 2023 and 2024 Hall ranked top-four among running backs in receptions and receiving yards. Last season his target share fell to 10%, a career low, and he caught 36 passes for 350 yards. That is the difference between a pass-catching back with a safe weekly floor and a rusher who depends entirely on yardage and goal-line work.
The sportsbooks had him at 350.5 receiving yards and 47.84 receptions going into 2025, and he came in under both. For 2026 the market has adjusted downward: he is now posted at 320 receiving yards and 38 receptions. The projection assumes last year was not variance but the new baseline.
