Kyle Pitts Sr. Fantasy Outlook 2026: TE5 With the Quarterback Question Unresolved

Why the consensus exists

Our board has Kyle Pitts 76 overall with 169.0 implied PPR points. ESPN ranks him 70. The draft room takes him at 105.1, and our value model puts his fair pick at 68. That is not agreement by accident — it is three independent methods arriving at the same number because the evidence points the same direction.

Pitts finished TE2 in targets, receptions, and receiving yards in 2025, commanding 23% of Atlanta's targets and posting 69.5 receptions for 775 yards. That usage rate at age 25 on a franchise tag is exactly the profile that produces a top-five tight end, and the sportsbooks have priced him accordingly at 69.5 catches, 775 yards, and 4.5 touchdowns for this season.

The projection is not a bet on growth. It is a bet on repetition, which is the safest kind of projection to make. He did this last year, the team paid him to do it again, and nothing about his situation has changed enough to break the pattern.

The projection assumes Cousins healthy and the passing game intact. That is the best-case scenario, and it does not price the downside.

Which quarterback scenario the TE5 projection assumes

The complication is that Pitts produced that TE2 finish almost entirely while Kirk Cousins was healthy and starting. Once Cousins went down, Atlanta's passing game lost both efficiency and target distribution, and Pitts was one of the players who absorbed the downside.

The question for 2026 is whether Cousins returns at full health or whether Atlanta moves to a different quarterback entirely. If Cousins is back and functional, this projection holds cleanly. If the Falcons pivot to a younger arm or a bridge starter, the 23% target share may hold but the yardage efficiency compresses, and 169.0 points becomes optimistic.
