Jaylen Waddle Fantasy Outlook 2026: WR25 On Volume Without The Touchdowns

Why the projection holds at WR25 despite the move

Our board ranks Jaylen Waddle 41 overall and WR22 at his position with 197.0 implied PPR points. ESPN has him 48 and drafters take him at 88.7. That alignment exists because his first season in Denver delivered almost exactly what the market expected: a high-volume receiver who does not score touchdowns.

He caught 64 passes for 910 yards and six touchdowns across 16 games, commanding a 22% target share in an offense that split volume between him and Courtland Sutton. The sportsbooks had posted him at 71.86 catches and 925.5 yards before the season, so he came in 8 receptions and 15 yards short while clearing the 5.5 touchdown line by half a score.

The projection for 2026 is 68.5 receptions, 900 receiving yards, and 5.5 touchdowns, which would produce roughly 197.0 implied points across a full season. That is nearly identical to what he just posted, and it reflects a market that has settled on his role: high-floor volume receiver without red-zone upside.

He has cleared 60 receptions in four of five years and topped 900 yards three times, but has scored more than seven touchdowns once in five seasons.

The touchdown ceiling is not variance

Over five NFL seasons Waddle has topped seven receiving touchdowns once, posting four in his rookie year, eight in his second, seven in his third, two in his fourth, and six last season. That is not a player stuck in bad luck — it is a player whose role does not generate consistent red-zone work.

His target share and yardage production have been stable. He has cleared 60 receptions in four of five years and has topped 900 yards three times. But the touchdown totals swing wildly because his offense uses him to move the ball between the twenties, not to finish drives.
