Ashton Jeanty Fantasy Outlook 2026: The Volume Is Already There

The rookie baseline, in real numbers

Ashton Jeanty finished his first season as the 11th running back and 29th player overall, with 245.1 fantasy points across a full 17 games. Our board had him 10th overall going in and ESPN had him 11th, so as a rookie projection it landed roughly where it was supposed to.

What is unusual is how he got there. He was seventh among all running backs in carries and seventh in targets — a genuinely elite dual-role workload — and converted it into a middling fantasy finish. He commanded 72% of his team's rushing attempts and caught 75% of the passes thrown his way. There is no touch-share argument to make here. He already has the touches.

He averaged 3.7 yards per carry. That is the entire gap between where he finished and where a back with his volume should finish.

What the market is actually paying for

Our board ranks him 17 overall with 235.0 implied PPR points, roughly 8 spots ahead of his 25.0 ADP, and ESPN sits at 17. That gap is not a bet on more work. It is a bet on the same work being worth more.

Look at what he actually beat and missed as a rookie. Sportsbooks had posted him at 1,050.5 rushing yards and 7.5 rushing touchdowns; he delivered 975 and 5. They had him near 49.5 receptions and 2.8 receiving touchdowns; he delivered 55 and 5. The passing-game markets he cleared. The rushing markets, where efficiency lives, he missed.

A new coaching staff in Las Vegas is the stated reason to expect the rushing side to improve, and it is a reasonable one — a 3.7-yard average on that volume is more often a blocking and scheme outcome than a talent verdict. But it is worth naming plainly that this is a projection about an offense, not about a player who has already shown he can do it.
